JOLIET, IL — Body camera video obtained from the Joliet Police Department's response to a family feud domestic disturbance call on Aug. 17 shows officers encountering 50-year-old Ernest Lopez on top of a female victim. Then, while the officers tried to gain control over him, his 77-year-old mother got involved and smacked the officers with one of her back patio chairs, according to police.
"Stop fighting!" one of the officers warned Ernest Lopez as the Joliet 50-year-old was being detained on his mother's back porch.
"Shut the f*** up!" he yelled back. "She's in her seventies," he said of his mother.

"Both of you were hitting my son," Concepcion Lopez remarked, according to body camera video.
Not only did Ernest Lopez wind up in the Will County Jail, so did his 77-year-old mother, Concepcion Lopez, who lives at the house in the 1300 block of Kenmore Avenue where all the trouble started.
